Republic Day Speech, 26th January 2025

Good Morning Everyone,
Respected Principal, Teachers, Parents, and My Dear Friends,

It is my honor to stand before you today as we celebrate the 76th Republic Day of our beloved nation, India. This is not just a day of celebration; it is a day of remembrance, reflection, and renewed commitment to our nation.

On this day in 1950, India’s Constitution came into effect, marking the birth of the largest democratic republic in the world. It was the culmination of years of struggle, sacrifice, and the visionary work of the framers of our Constitution, led by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Our Constitution, with its principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, has been our guiding light, shaping India into the vibrant democracy it is today.

Achievements of India:
As we stand here today, let us take a moment to celebrate how far we have come. India has achieved remarkable milestones in science, technology, space exploration, education, and economy. From launching Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan missions to becoming a global leader in renewable energy, India is paving the way for innovation and sustainability. Our armed forces, police, and citizens work tirelessly to ensure that we remain a secure and sovereign nation.

Unity in Diversity:
India’s strength lies in its diversity. We are a nation of various languages, religions, cultures, and traditions, yet we stand united as one. This is the essence of India – unity in diversity. On this day, we must pledge to uphold this unity, respecting and embracing each other’s differences while working together for the greater good of our nation.

Challenges and Responsibilities:
While we have much to be proud of, we must also acknowledge the challenges we face. Poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, and environmental issues still persist. It is the responsibility of each one of us to contribute towards addressing these challenges. As the future of this nation, it is up to us, the youth, to carry forward the dreams of our freedom fighters and build an India that is inclusive, progressive, and sustainable.

Role of Citizens:
Let us not forget that our rights as citizens come with responsibilities. We must work towards building a society where every individual feels safe, respected, and empowered. Small acts of kindness, standing up against injustice, and fulfilling our duties as citizens can collectively make a big difference.

Closing Words:
On this Republic Day, let us pledge to uphold the values enshrined in our Constitution. Let us work towards a nation where every citizen, irrespective of their background, has equal opportunities to thrive and contribute to the growth of India.

Before I conclude, let me leave you with the words of Mahatma Gandhi:
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Let us all strive to be the change-makers who drive India towards greatness.

Thank you, and a very Happy Republic Day to all of you!
Jai Hind
