The much-anticipated Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Advanced Technology (R-CAT) will be officially opened on Saturday at DigiFest 2022 by Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot. R-CAT is a technology finishing school that offers instruction in cutting-edge technologies. It will have facilities and infrastructure of the highest caliber.
Each of the five companies has started a batch. They chose these batches from a pool of 125 students overall. The center got 600 applications. There will be new batches beginning next month.
At R-CAT, trainees will have the option of enrolling in one of the three-course types:
- They offer paid premium courses.
- They will select one hundred children for each training partner in the second course, for which the state will pay.
- The third course will be free and based on e-learning; the course materials will also be free.
Criteria for Qualification
Graduate students, recent graduates, and post-graduate students will all receive the training. In addition, the centre will accept enrollment for courses from students in various streams, including BE/BTech, BCA, MCA, MBA, and MSc (IT).
The length of the course can vary between one week and six months.
Tuition fees
Subsidized costs for the courses will be charged. Similar programs typically range in price from Rs 30,000 to Rs 3 lakh.
The cutting-edge and cutting-edge IT programs for professionals with degrees in BE/BTech, BCA, MCA, MBA, and MSc (IT) may revolve around core technologies like blockchain, augmented reality and virtual reality (AR/PR), big data analytics, robotics, and quantum computing, among others, in partnership with global tech giants Oracle, SAS, Red Hat, and Cisco.
R-CAT Admission Standards
The candidate’s educational background, as well as the results of a test to determine admission, are considered. Courses of varying kinds call for varying levels of education.
Those with a BSC in Mathematics, Statistics, BCA/MCA/BSCIT/BTech, or any PG in these fields are eligible to apply.
How to Register for the R-CAT

To begin, go to https://rcat.rajasthan.gov.in/ and select the login/registration link in the top right corner. The candidate’s SSO ID will appear after clicking the button.
If the candidate has not yet, they must first create their SSO credentials before attempting to register for the R-CAT online.
- Verify using Aadhaar
Aadhaar verification will be mandatory for the candidate. After completing the validation procedure, the candidate gets to a form where they must enter the necessary information. Additionally, they must confirm the course they want to enrol for.
As of August 2022, the course can last between 4 and 60 days. Future additions include more courses. In addition, candidates’ registered email addresses and mobile numbers will receive an SMS confirming their registration.
- Register for the Quiz-a-thon
The candidate must apply for the Quiz-A-Thon. Email and SMS notifications will be sent to them if they select them. After that, they can begin their workouts.
