Steps to Update EPF Nomination Online

Follow these steps to add or update your EPF nominee details online:​

Step 1: Log in to the UAN Portal

Visit the official UAN portal: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/. Log in using your UAN number and password.

Step 2: Navigate to ‘E-Nomination’

Click on ‘Manage’ and select ‘E-Nomination’ from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Select Family Status

On the nomination page, choose whether you have a family or not by selecting ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

Step 4: Add Family Member Details

Enter the required details of the family members you want to nominate, including their name, date of birth, and relation to you.

Step 5: Confirm Family Member Consent

Select the checkbox indicating that you have obtained the consent of your family members.

Step 6: Save Family Details

If you want to add another family member, click ‘Add Row’. Otherwise, click ‘Save Family Details’.

Step 7: Assign Nomination Shares

Once the family details are saved, allocate the percentage of the EPF balance each nominee should receive. Enter the percentage manually (e.g., 50% or 100%) and click ‘Save’.

Step 8: E-Sign for Digital Verification

Click on the ‘E-sign’ option to generate an OTP for Aadhaar-based digital verification. Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number to complete the process.

Updating EPF Nominee Offline
