The percentile score’s calculation method

The NEET percentile represents the proportion of applicants who scored higher or lower than a given candidate. According to the highest raw NEET score, the NEET percentile is determined. The Counseling Process for NEET 2022

There will be three rounds of the NEET counseling process, including a mop-up round. The following steps must be taken in order to register for counseling.

  1. Registration: Candidates must finish the registration process before the NEET 2022 counseling process can begin. To do this, one must register anew by logging into the MCC/state authority portal and providing their personal information. Since the counseling will take place online, students must first complete the registration form before proceeding.
  2. Choice filling and locking: Following successful registration, candidates must choose their preferred colleges from the list and enter the names.  “Choice filling” is the name given to this. They can select as many colleges as they desire and alter the order as they see fit. Candidates must pay a set amount as counseling fees in order to lock in their selections, though. Students won’t be able to alter the order or names of colleges once the choices have been locked.
  3. Seat distribution: After each counseling session, seats will be allocated to candidates in accordance with their exam results and the preferences they indicated on the choice form. It might not always be the case that the student enrolls in the [recommended college or course]. A candidate may reapply for new colleges in the following round of counseling in such circumstances.
  4. Final step: Candidates are enrolled in one of the participating NEET colleges based on how well they performed. Only after the applicants have paid the admission fee and reserved a seat for themselves is the admission confirmed.
