Mukhyamantri Sarthi Yojana Jharkhand (MMSY Jharkhand) Update
The Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren today launches new scheme Mukhyamantri Sarathi Yojana (MMSY) on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day. Under this scheme young people will be provided training in skills like sewing, tailoring and carpentry. The scheme will help youth to find job or to start their own business.

Mukhyamantri Sarthi Yojana Introduction
Mukhyamantri Sarthi Yojana is a state sponsored training program that aims to provide quality training in Sewing,Tailoring and Carpentry to youth aged between 18-35 years. The maximum age for certain reserved like SC/ST/OBC and BIRSA scheme is 50 years. The scheme is offered in all 24 districts of Jharkhand and there is no fees charged for the training, the scheme includes both residential and non-residential form of training.
Mukhyamantri Sarthi Yojana Allowance
After successful training if the trainee is unable to find any job within three months, unemployment allowance will be provided by the government. Boys will receive Rs 1000 per month, while girls and physically challenged trainee will receive Rs 1500 per month as unemployment allowance. The trainees will continue to receive the unemployment allowance for the first year through DBT(Direct Benefit Transfer). Non-residential students will also get Rs 1000 as travel allowance
Features of Mukhyamantri Sarthi Yojana
- This scheme is run by JSDMS (Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society) and comes under Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
- The scheme is available for all 24 districts of Jharkhand
- The scheme is available for people from 18-35 age group, for SC/ST/OBC and BIRSA yojana beneficiaries the maximum age is 50 years.
- Training under the scheme is Free of Cost
- Applicant must have passed 5th Class
- The scheme is available for both Residential and non-Residential formats
- Applicant can choose the trade according to their interest through counseling
- Documents required for application include Aadhaar Card, Residential proof, educational qualification proof and photo
- Rs 1000 will be provided to non-residential candidates for traveling expenses
- Training will be provided at Government and Non-goverenment training centers
- Rs 1000 per month will be provided to trainees if they are unable to get job or set up their business within 3 months of completion of training
- Rs 1500 will be provided to girls and physically handicapped candidates if they are unable to find job or set up any business within 3 months of training completion
Other Scheme Available Under Mukhyamantri Sarthi Yojana
The program includes four state-owned sub-schemes under the Mukhymantri Sarthi Yojna:
- Saksham Jharkhand Kaushal Vikas Yojana (SJKVY): This scheme aims to train 30,000 youth in the year 2023-2024. The training can be both residential and non-residential.
- Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra (DDU-KK) (Mega Skill Center): This scheme focuses on setting up large-scale Mega Centers to provide longer duration and quality training through On Job Training (OJT). It aims to train 60,000 youth in the year 2023-2024, and the training is entirely residential.
- Employability Excellence with College Education & Learning (EXCEL): This scheme targets candidates who have completed or are appearing for their 10+2 exams. Training is provided within college campuses alongside regular education programs. The goal is to train 10,000 students in the year 2023-2024.
- Block Level Institute for Rural Skill Acquisition (BIRSA): This scheme aims to provide quality skill training to individuals at the grassroots level. It focuses on mobilizing candidates who wish to acquire skills in their local areas. The age limit for this scheme is 18-35 years, with a maximum age of 50 years for reserved categories. The training is non-residential and will train 40,000 youth in the year 2023-2024.
